About the Gijima System Support Learnership 2026-2027
Gijima is recruiting System Support NQF Level 5 (SAQA ID 48573) learners for a 12-month learnership programme in Cape Town. The National Certificate in IT: Systems Support at NQF Level 5, is intended for unemployed youth, entering the workplace, requiring Systems Support skills, focusing on networking/systems support. The Gijima System Support Learnership is a remarkable learnership that equips you with the foundation of this sector. Throughout the programme, you will be subjected to a structured curriculum that combines both theoretical assessments and practical working sessions held in a real-time company setting. Under the guidance of professional training providers, you will be encouraged to show immense progress as you work your way to a qualification.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates interested in the Gijima System Support Learnership must fulfill an eligibility criteria before proceeding with their applications. The Gijima System Support Learnership Eligibility Criteria are as follows:

• Officially recognized as a citizen of South Africa (African, White, Coloured, and Indian)
• Must be under 35 years old as of 30 June 2026
• Currently unemployed
• Candidates must have completed Matric with Mathematics & English
• Must be computer literate & must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Have NO criminal record
• Applicants must not be currently enrolled in any learnership, internship, or similar training programme
• Not be pursuing studies at any educational institution, including through distance learning
• candidates must reside within the greater Cape Town area, as relocation assistance is not available.

Competencies/Skills Required:

• Candidates should demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, with an excellent command of the English language
• They must possess effective problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused approach to service delivery
• Strong time management and organizational skills are essential, along with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• The ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment is also required.
