Main Purpose of the Role
The VIP Security Officer will be responsible for:
- Maintaining a safe and secure environment
- Monitoring branch activities and surroundings
- Preventing theft and suspicious activities
- Conducting patrols and security checks
- Assisting guests and team members professionally
- Supporting opening and closing branch procedures
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- PSIRA registration
- Previous security experience
Advantageous Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate
- Valid driver’s licence
Key Responsibilities
Security Duties
The successful candidate will:
- Conduct perimeter patrols before branch opening
- Monitor suspicious activities and report incidents
- Control access to the branch
- Perform guest and staff scanning procedures
- Ensure safety during opening and closing procedures
- Monitor panic buttons, radios, and communication devices
- Assist with stock receiving and alarm testing
- Maintain daily security reports
Guest Service Responsibilities
VIP Officers are expected to:
- Greet guests professionally
- Provide friendly and respectful customer service
- Assist guests when necessary
- Promote a welcoming and secure environment
- Handle complaints calmly and professionally
Compliance and Safety
Security Officers must:
- Wear full uniform and name badge
- Ensure no weapons or prohibited items enter the premises
- Prevent underage persons from entering
- Follow all company safety and operational procedures
