Job Description
Will be responsible for offloading the trucks and taking of sample from the
trucks, truck inspections and testing of lab samples as well as
housekeeping.
Key Responsibilities
Offloading the trucks and taking of sample from the trucks
Truck Inspections
Testing and taking the sample to the Lab
Cleaning of Intake offloading area, clearing of chokes and Overflowing bins
Cleaning of Intake machines and House keeping
Assisting on the Repairing and maintaining of the Intake machines
To ensure compliance with relevant Food Safety and Health Safety
Responsibility and ability to:
Operate and use required tools and equipment skilfully and safely.
Perform heavy physical labour.
Read, comprehend, and work from plans and SOP’s.
Maintain cooperative working relationships.
Demonstrate sensitivity to, and respect for a diverse population.
Function in a team
Follow written and verbal instructions.
Work under pressure and independently
Qualification Requirements
Grade 12 Essential
Experience Requirements
2-3 years’ experience in relevant trade
Exposure and Mill knowledge will be an added advantage
Other Requirements
Required to work in hot and cold extreme weather conditions.
5 – day position and may be required to work overtime and unusual working hours (after hours) from time to time.
Key Outputs
Maintenance of tools, machinery, and equipment.
Health and safety hazards and precautionary measures to be observed and good communication skills.
