Minimum Requirements
To be considered for these positions, you must have:
- N6 Hospitality Certificate (a must-have to qualify).
This role is designed for individuals who have recently completed their N6 studies and are looking to gain hands-on experience in a real work environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
As a Hospitality Trainee, you will be involved in various activities that will help you grow your skills and prepare you for a successful career in hospitality. Your responsibilities will include:
- Compiling and placing food and equipment orders.
- Conducting stock-taking of food and supplies.
- Issuing ingredients and keeping accurate stock records.
- Assisting with nutrition and menu planning.
- Helping lecturers with classroom demonstrations.
- Cooking meals for the crèche.
- Liaising with suppliers and maintaining professional relationships.
- Preparing quotations for purchases and events.
- Assisting with planning and organizing functions.
- Keeping Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) in the kitchen updated.
- Ensuring that kitchen OHS (Occupational Health and Safety) documents are current.
- Supervising students during restaurant days and special events.
This is a hands-on training position where you will gain practical experience in every aspect of running a hospitality environment.

- Original certified copy of your South African ID document.
Make sure that all your documents are certified recently, as outdated certifications may lead to disqualification.
