What This Job Is All About
As a Flight Attendant at FlySafair, your role is to make sure every passenger has a safe and comfortable journey. You’ll be responsible for following safety procedures, assisting passengers, and keeping up a high level of customer service at all times.
You won’t just be serving snacks or helping with seatbelts — you’ll be trained to handle emergency situations, provide first aid, and be the calm voice passengers turn to when they need help. Your number one job is to protect lives while providing a friendly and positive flying experience.
What You’ll Be Doing Each Day

- Making sure all safety rules and procedures are followed on every flight
- Giving safety demonstrations before take-off
- Helping passengers with seating, luggage, or special needs
- Staying alert to any in-flight issues or emergencies
- Keeping a calm and professional attitude, even in stressful situations
- Reporting incidents or irregularities to the Cabin Services Manager
- Promoting a professional image of FlySafair at all times
- Supporting other crew members as a team player
What You Need to Apply

Basic Qualifications:
- Matric / Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
- Must currently hold a valid SACAA Cabin Crew License
- Must have:
- Valid Avmed DD50 Medical Certificate
- Dangerous Goods Certificate
- Ditching Certificate
- Fire Fighting Certificate
- Must speak English fluently (Level 4 proficiency)
- Medically fit to work as a cabin crew member
- Able to swim
- Valid South African Driver’s License and own transport
- Must be willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays, including early mornings and late evenings
