x48 General Assistants vacancies at Vaal Central Water
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Washing and maintenance of vehicles, tools, and equipment
- Assist with repairs and maintenance on bulk or other pipelines, from excavation to replacement, bedding and filling.
- Weekly inspection of and reporting on pipelines, manholes and reservoirs
- Housekeeping of pump stations in the Region.
- Assist with repairs and maintenance on pumps, valves and plant equipment.
- Perform functions as required e.g. Welding, digging of trenches etc.
- Cleaning, painting, grass cutting, tree felling, sewer lines unblocking and sewer plant maintenance, civil, terrain maintenance and gardening.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and policy.
- Wear safety gear as required at all times.
- Observe safety protocols and procedure.
- All assignments as directed from time to time.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 10
- Knowledge of treatment plants and pump stations (an added advantage)
- Valid Driver’s License (an added advantage)
