We have an amazing opportunity for a VIP (Security) Officer
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining a safe environment for the people. This may include securing premises by monitoring surveillance equipment or by patrolling activities. The VIP (Security) Officers expected to prevent loss and theft and report any irregularities or suspicious acts.

You Bring:
- 1-2 years Security experience.
- Registered with PSIRA (Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority.
- Matric

What You’ll Do For The Brand:
- The security officer needs to arrive 15 minutes before the branch opens.
- The Branch Manager or Senior Team Leader will open the branch with the security officer present.
- The security officer must walk around the building to check the area before the branch opens.
- The security officer needs to look for any unusual activity around the building before opening.
- The security officer must be very watchful and aware of everything around them before the branch opens and closes.
- Once the branch is open, the security officer needs to walk through the branch to make sure everything is okay.
- The security officer must confirm all checks are done before the Branch Manager or Senior Team Leader starts their daily tasks.
- When opening or closing, one security officer must watch their partner from a distance and look for any possible threats.
- Patrolling includes checking inside and outside the branch entrance, the back areas, and all parking areas.
- Make sure all radios are fully charged for use early in the morning. Report any broken equipment right away.
- Charge the batteries overnight so they are ready to use at the start of your shift.
- Confirm that all panic buttons and radios are working well and keep them in a safe place.
- Radios and earpieces should be used for easy talking and help during emergencies.
- The security officer at the search area needs to use the scanner to check everyone entering the branch, even employees.
- Always keep the branch door or gate closed at the search area.
- Security officers can’t scan guests of the opposite gender.
- Male officers should only scan male guests, and female officers should only scan female guests.
- Security officers need to check female bags with a stick. Male guests can’t bring bags inside.
- Security officers should guide traffic on the property, keeping foot traffic moving smoothly and controlling vehicles entering and leaving.
- At the end of the day, security officers should close one door to limit entry and increase security, lowering risks.
- Security officers must go to branch meetings when the Branch Manager asks them to.
- Security should help when new items arrive, when alarm tests are done, and by sending a daily report every morning before 10:00 AM.
Guest Service
- First impressions last – VIP Officers are at the forefront of Hollywood.
- VIP (Security) Officers are the first encounter with the guest.
- Ensure to make the impression by greeting the Guest with “Good day, welcome to Hollywood”
- Ensure to provide good guest service by being friendly, helpful, polite and courteous always.
- Pro-actively address guest complaints and ensure guest feedback is communicated clearly in an effective and positive manner.
- always Create a guest centric culture within the branch and drive the philosophy of “service with a smile”.
- Always Ensure to treating our guest with respect and have the good attitude.
- When Guest are leaving the branch VIP Officer to wish the guest good evening or good night and ask them to come again. “Good Bye Sir, please come again.
Compliance
- VIP security staff must wear their complete Amadoda uniform with name tags before starting work (including black shoes, black socks, and a white vest).
- Check everyone entering the building, even employees.
- Watch guests leaving to see if they are missing anything they had when they arrived.
- Bags are not permitted inside.
- Guns or weapons are prohibited, unless carried by a law enforcement officer on duty.
- People younger than 18 are not allowed inside.
- If you have trouble with a customer, call for help and use the panic button before the problem gets worse.
- In branches without a liquor license, alcohol is not allowed.
- Staff members cannot take bets on credit.
- VIP security officers on duty cannot place bets with Amadoda.
- VIP security officers cannot use the limited pay-out machine while working.
Code of Conduct
- While on duty you will not sit or lounge, make use of your cell phone or eat.
- No smoking on duty.
- You will not report for duty under the influence of alcohol.
- You will not abandon your post. This could lead to disciplinary action against you.
- You are not allowed to sleep on duty. This will lead to disciplinary action against you.
- You will not have casual conversations with friends/other team members while at your post.
- You will not accept tips from the guest.

Other
- VIP Officer must report their absenteeism to the Branch Manager / Senior Team Leader 2 hours before their shift begins.
- Able to work in a rotating shift /work flexible hour.

- Ensure you physical fitness is always obtained in line with the job requirements.
