Salary and Benefits

  • Salary: R163 680 – R192 810 per annum (Level 03)
  • The successful candidate will be required to sign a performance agreement
  • Government benefits apply in accordance with applicable regulations

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • ABET qualification or equivalent (NQF Level 4)
  • Grade 12 (Matric) certificate will be an added advantage
  • No prior experience required
  • A valid driver’s licence will be an added advantage
  • At least one (1) year of general administration experience will be an added advantage

All shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a pre-entry practical assessment to evaluate technical and generic competencies relevant to the post.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong planning and organisational abilities
  • Computer literacy with intermediate-level skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a court environment

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Escorting Judges to court and attending court proceedings
  • Calling court sessions to order
  • Handling and passing exhibits and documents between Judges and legal counsel
  • Assisting self-represented litigants with Court Online services in courtrooms and offices
  • Performing general messenger duties within and outside the court
  • Collecting and distributing post, parcels, files, and official documents
  • Photocopying court documents and judgments
  • Providing administrative support to other sections during court terms and recess periods, as required by the Chief Registrar or Court Manager
