Job Summary: Cashier Position at Unitrans

Unitrans is currently seeking a dedicated individual to fill the role of Cashier at our Tlhabane location in North West, South Africa. This permanent, full-time position is ideal for someone who is customer-focused, reliable, and adept at handling financial transactions in a fast-paced environment.

As a Cashier, you will be the first point of contact for passengers, playing a key role in ensuring a positive customer experience. Your responsibilities will include managing ticket sales, assisting passengers with inquiries about fares, routes, and schedules, and ensuring that financial transactions are conducted with accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

In your role as Cashier, you will be tasked with the following responsibilities:

• Ticket Sales and Financial Transactions: Accurately handle payments, issue receipts, and maintain the integrity of financial processes.
• Customer Service: Actively engage with passengers, addressing complaints and queries to ensure a smooth ticketing experience.
• Revenue Management: Compile daily revenue figures and ensure the safekeeping of funds.
• Administrative Tasks: Complete necessary documentation and follow internal processes to support the company’s financial and operational goals.
• Flexibility: Be prepared to relocate as needed to meet the demands of the company’s operations.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants should meet the following qualifications:

• Education: A minimum of a Grade 12 / Matric / National Senior Certificate is required.
• Experience: Up to 1 year of experience in a similar cashier or customer service role is preferred.
• Skills: Basic computer literacy and the ability to handle administrative tasks.
• Work Environment: Ability to work efficiently under pressure and willingness to work shifts as required.
