Position Purpose
The Sales Consultant role at CIRO in Johannesburg, Gauteng, is a permanent position designed to drive sales in the Out of Home (OOH) coffee market. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you’ll achieve sales targets, build customer relationships, and enhance brand awareness, earning a base salary of R15,000–R25,000/month plus commission. This role supports CIRO’s mission to deliver innovative coffee solutions and career growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve monthly sales, volume, and margin targets in the Gauteng OOH market.
- Maintain superior customer relationships through a structured call cycle.
- Ensure in-cup quality and delivery by conducting customer audits, calibrating machines, and providing operational training.
- Identify opportunities to expand sales using the National Brands Limited (NBL) Group’s product basket.
- Place effective point-of-sale materials to grow brand awareness and consumption.
- Verify asset equipment at customer sites annually.
- Use business intelligence resources and reports to drive sales volumes.
- Execute group customer plans, rollouts, and new product/equipment launches.
- Develop a targeted list of new customer prospects across product categories and channels.
- Provide equipment pipeline forecasts for new installations and prospective customers.
- Complete new business development: contact prospects, assess needs, propose solutions, and guide implementation.
- Ensure commercially sound agreements with new customers.
- Attend installations and provide customer solutions training on installation day.

Eligibility Criteria
- South African citizen aged 18–35 (preferred).
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
- 1–3 years’ sales experience in the Out of Home (OOH) market, with a proven track record in new business development.
- Experience in cold calling, prospecting, specialty coffee, and beverage system solutions.
- Basic commercial understanding (e.g., sales strategies, customer negotiations).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively.
- Ability to offer calculated solutions in the Business and Industry (B&I) channel.
- Ability to engage effectively with regional management teams.
- Full COVID-19 vaccination status.
- Clear criminal record, verified via background checks.
- Residence in or near Johannesburg, Gauteng, for reliable commuting.
