Minimum Requirements
To qualify for the Tradesman Aid position, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- NQF Level 2 qualification (Grade 10 certificate or equivalent)
- At least 6 months of trade-related experience
- Ability to work in a workshop or maintenance environment
- Basic understanding of tools and equipment handling
This role is suitable for individuals who are practical, reliable, and able to support technical teams in maintenance operations.
Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will assist technicians and artisans with daily workshop operations. Duties include:
- Cleaning tools and mechanical parts before and after use
- Maintaining cleanliness and safety within the workshop environment
- Ensuring warning signs are placed correctly in work areas
- Assisting with stock taking and inventory control
- Loading and offloading workshop materials and equipment
- Supporting stock verification and record processes
These tasks play an important role in ensuring smooth maintenance operations within the department.
