About the Role
The Logistics Administrator plays a key role in ensuring the smooth daily operation of the logistics function. The role focuses on document control, reporting, stock management, expense reconciliation, and customer coordination while maintaining compliance with quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Prepare and analyse month-end financial logistics reports
- Conduct stock count preparation and capturing
- Run and analyse Oracle logistics reports
- Reconcile monthly expenses (stock, transport, outsourced services, pallets)
- Manage purchase orders and logistics-related expenses
- Follow up on account payments and ensure site accounts are up to date
- Manage pallet and POD (Proof of Delivery) control
- Generate internal requisitions and internal orders
- Ensure document control in line with BRC, SHE, and HACCP standards
- Review daily stock cover and track order input and delivery days
- Follow up on out-of-stock items and customer order fulfilment
- Assist with Capex projects, including supplier quotations
- Provide cover for Controllers when required
- Ensure warehouse consumables and essentials are replenished on time
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Matric or equivalent
- Diploma in Logistics Management or Business Administration
Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ FMCG logistics experience
- Experience in administration and logistics reporting
Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of logistics systems and reporting
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with Oracle, Proteus, MicroStrategy, and Outlook
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Decision-making and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Commitment to integrity, continuous learning, and process improvement
