Job Purpose

The Despatch Controller position with Tiger Brands is a permanent role designed for organized, leadership-driven individuals with a Grade 12 certificate and 2 years of stock control experience. Based in major hubs like Johannesburg or Cape Town, you’ll manage loading processes, reconcile products, and lead warehouse teams to ensure efficient operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee the loading process for accurate and timely despatch.
  • Execute stock counts to maintain precise inventory records.
  • Consolidate orders using Excel for efficient warehouse operations.
  • Prepare reports on stock levels, despatch activities, and discrepancies.
  • Manage Team Connect to foster effective communication and coordination.
  • Handle industrial relations (IR) and disciplinary processes for team compliance.
  • Ensure warehouse cleanliness and organization to meet safety standards.
  • Resolve operational issues promptly to maintain despatch schedules.
  • Work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.

Eligibility Criteria

  • South African citizen with a valid ID, aged 18–35.
  • Grade 12 certificate (Matric) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of stock control experience in a warehouse or FMCG environment.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Physical fitness to handle warehouse tasks and inspections.

Preferences

  • Experience in FMCG despatch or warehouse supervision.
  • Familiarity with Team Connect or similar team management tools.
