The Department of Employment and Labour, in partnership with the Presidential Youth Employment Initiative (PYEI), is calling on unemployed South Africans to apply for the UIF Client Service Officer Vacancies (X454 Posts). About the UIF Client Service Officer Role

As a UIF Client Service Officer, you will play a key role in helping South Africans access UIF benefits and services. You’ll be assisting job seekers, processing benefit applications, and handling important administrative duties. Successful applicants will be placed at various Labour Centres and Satellite Offices across Mpumalanga, including Barberton, Bethal, Ermelo, Middelburg, Secunda, Mbombela, KwaMhlanga, Mashishing, Sabie, and many more.

Who Can Apply

To qualify for the UIF Client Service Officer position, applicants must meet the following basic requirements:

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.
• Must have 0–6 months of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of:
  • Unemployment Insurance Act and Regulations
  • UIF Contributions Act
  • Public Finance Management Act (PFMA)
  • Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA)
  • Batho Pele Principles
  • Customer Service and Departmental Procedures

Applicants should also have strong communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as basic computer literacy. Other important abilities include time management, conflict handling, and attention to detail.

Key Duties

Your main responsibilities as a UIF Client Service Officer will include:

• Screening and assisting clients who visit Labour Centres.
• Processing UIF benefit applications accurately and efficiently.
• Registering continuation of payment forms for beneficiaries.
• Performing general administrative tasks to support daily operations.
