The Agricultural Research Council (ARC) – Grain Crops (ARC-GC) seeks to appoint a skilled and professional Receptionist / Switchboard Operator at its Potchefstroom office. This role is central to client service, office administration, and coordination of organisational activities.

Key Responsibilities
- Attend to clients, visitors, and enquiries.
- Update and maintain information directories.
- Manage office supplies and maintain office space.
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence.
- Perform routine administrative tasks.
- Assist with HR document administration.
- Coordinate bookings for trips, vehicles, and transport reporting.
- Log IT problems with the relevant department.
- Record meeting minutes and manage venue bookings.
- Distribute information to the public relations officer.
- Assist in organising campus events, exhibitions, and awareness programmes.
- Handle petty cash, advances, and claims within set deadlines.
Minimum Requirements
- National Senior Certificate (Grade 12).
- At least 2 years’ experience as a receptionist, front desk officer, administrator, or similar role.
- Customer service skills.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation abilities.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver’s licence.
