The Learner Data Capturer role in Mqanduli, OR Tambo, supports TB HIV Care’s mission to connect people with care by ensuring accurate data management in a rural, high-need area.
Position Purpose
The Learner Data Capturer at TB HIV Care in Mqanduli is a learnership role within the Support Services Department, offering a ~R4,000/month stipend. Targeted at youth aged 18–24 with Grade 12, the role involves capturing and consolidating facility and partner data to support weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting, contributing to TB HIV Care’s monitoring and evaluation efforts in the Eastern Cape.
Key Responsibilities
- Capture and consolidate facility and partner data accurately.
- Ensure all weekly, monthly, and quarterly data is received, captured, and consolidated.
- Update databases with weekly, monthly, and quarterly data.
- Format and structure data according to TB HIV Care’s requirements.
- Maintain a register of individuals responsible for data submission at each facility.
- Notify the M&E coordinator and relevant staff of late data submissions, keeping records of all submissions.
- Collaborate with Department of Health and THC staff to capture relevant information.
- Perform filing and administrative duties as required.
- Attend all training sessions and complete assessments for accredited training.

Eligibility Criteria
- South African citizen aged 18–24.
- Grade 12 certificate.
- Interest or background in HIV and public health.
- Residence in proximity to the Mqanduli health facility.
- Valid South African ID.
- Fluency in English; isiXhosa fluency is an advantage.
- Clear criminal record, verified via background checks.
- Knowledge of MS Office (e.g., Word, Excel).
- Commitment to attend all training sessions and complete assessments.

- Residents of Mqanduli or OR Tambo district for proximity.
- Strong communication skills in English and isiXhosa.
