About the Sun International Job as Reservationist 2026
Sun International is currently searching for candidates who would like to obtain a permanent employment opportunity as a Reservationist in a hotel industry. The Sun International Reservationist is responsible for coordinating, processing, and accurately capturing all reservation requests received through the contact centre. This role ensures that all bookings are handled in accordance with the company’s established procedures, policies, and service standards. The Reservationist is also expected to deliver consistent, high-quality customer service while maintaining accurate records, managing availability, and supporting operational efficiency across the business.

You will be required to perform the duties below:

  • Respond to incoming calls directed to the business unit’s reservations department
  • Welcome clients in a courteous and friendly manner while maintaining respect at all times
  • Obtain all required information needed to complete mandatory booking fields
  • Successfully convert inquiries into confirmed bookings or reservations
  • Upsell reservations to secure the best available rates for every booking request
  • Prepare and communicate booking confirmation letters in line with each client’s requirements
  • Provide guests with accurate and up-to-date information, including promotions, functions, and facilities
  • Engage with guests to address and resolve individual questions or concerns
  • Complete handover reports and maintain accurate reservation files
  • Distribute booking confirmation letters to both clients and the operations team
  • Capture all reservation details in the system accurately and efficiently
  • Enter and update rooming lists within the reservation system
  • Correctly upload and record market codes, source codes, nationalities, and rates in the system
  • Log and route special guest requests on system bookings
  • Reconcile room blocks once rooming lists have been captured
  • Follow up on outstanding rooming lists and pending payments
  • Send system-generated rooming lists to clients and the operations team
  • Generate reports from the PMS and ORS, including arrival lists, statistics, and rooming details
  • Establish positive connections with guests by offering a warm welcome, friendly demeanor, and respectful service
  • Interact with guests professionally while delivering appropriate solutions to their needs
  • Identify guests and gain an understanding of their preferences
  • Inform guests about business unit facilities, products, and current promotions
  • Address customer complaints, requests, and suggestions through to resolution, escalating issues when necessary
