Studio 88, one of the leading fashion clothing and footwear brands in South Africa, offers an exciting opportunity as a Sales Assistant. This temporary position is based in KwaZulu-Natal, providing you with hands-on experience in a dynamic retail environment.

As a Sales Assistant at Studio 88, you will be an essential part of the retail operations team. Your role includes delivering excellent customer service, assisting customers in finding products, processing transactions, and ensuring the store remains well-organized. Working under the guidance of the Store Manager, you will play a critical role in driving sales and maintaining high store standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their inquiries and ensuring they have a positive shopping experience.
• Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Assist with restocking apparel, folding, organizing clothing, and maintaining a clean store environment.
• Ensure the store displays are visually appealing through basic visual merchandising principles.
• Maintain inventory control by organizing the stockroom and conducting regular spot checks.

Qualifications and Experience

To qualify for this role, you need the following:

• Minimum Qualification: Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Experience: At least 1-2 years in a sales or retail environment, preferably in fashion retail.
• A proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets and handle cash transactions efficiently.

Required Skills

• Strong customer service skills: Essential for addressing customer needs and ensuring satisfaction.
• Upselling and cross-selling: The ability to suggest additional products to customers and drive higher sales.
• Basic knowledge of fashion trends, clothing brands, sizes, and products.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with customers and team members.
