Description
Starke Ayres is a leading supplier of premium agricultural products across Africa. We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Worker to support warehouse and distribution operations by ensuring cleanliness, assisting with loading and off-loading, and maintaining safe and orderly working environments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Warehouse & Facility Support
Clean and scrub distribution areas, canteen, offices, ablution blocks, and laboratory areas according to cleaning schedules
Ensure cleaning equipment is cleaned and charged after each shift
Maintain high housekeeping standards across all work areas
Loading, Off-loading & Order Support
Assist with the loading and off-loading of delivery vehicles
Support the checking of orders prior to dispatch to ensure accuracy
Assist with stock counts and ad hoc stock checks as required
General Operational Support
Assist colleagues with tasks once own duties are completed
Maintain a neat, organised, and safe work environment at all times
Support security measures to protect stock, assets, and facilities
Perform reasonable ad hoc duties as instructed by supervisors or managers
Health, Safety & Professional Conduct
Comply with Occupational Health and Safety requirements at all times
Report any safety deviations or hazards to supervisors
Act responsibly and professionally, promoting a positive company image
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate (essential)
Experience
Previous experience as a General Worker or in a warehouse environment (advantageous)
Skills & Competencies
Basic counting and accuracy skills
Attention to detail
Ability to follow instructions and procedures
Physical ability to perform manual tasks
Ability to work as part of a team
