About the YES Youth Programme

The Youth Employment Service (YES) is a national programme aimed at giving young South Africans a real work experience to improve their chances of future employment.

Minimum Requirements – Who Can Apply

To qualify for the Sportscene YES Programme, you need to meet these criteria:

Be between 18 and 28 years old.
Have Matric (preferred) or at least Grade 10.
Be available and willing to work a full 12-month fixed-term contract.
Must not have been employed permanently with one employer for more than 12 continuous months.
Must not be studying full-time during the year of employment.
Must not have taken part in the YES Programme before.
Be able to cover your own accommodation and transport costs, if needed.

Preference will be given to candidates from designated groups in line with the Employment Equity Act.
