Purpose of the Role
The People Delivery Assistant will deliver high-quality administrative support to the Divisional People Partner and regional HR teams. This role also extends beyond traditional HR administration to include employee engagement activities and ad hoc tasks within the broader People function.
Key Responsibilities
- HR Administration:
- Maintain an accurate employee database and HR documents.
- File and record all administrative processes for auditing and reference.
- Compile and update HR documents as needed.
- Reporting and Compliance:
- Complete monthly management and staff training attendance registers.
- Prepare weekly reports and conduct audits.
- HR Support:
- Handle HR queries related to leave, pay, employee benefits, and headcount reconciliations.
- Assist with uniform and PPE orders and distribution.
- Employee Engagement:
- Coordinate events like long service celebrations, training sessions, and appreciation meals.
- Support employee engagement initiatives.
- Ad Hoc Duties:
- Assist with various tasks beyond administrative functions as needed within the HR team.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education:
- National Diploma/Degree in HR Management, Industrial Psychology, or a related field (essential).
- Experience:
- At least 1 year in an HR administrative or assistant role, including exposure to HR lifecycle processes such as HR support, administration, and service delivery.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Comprehensive understanding of human resources legislation, policies, and practices.
- Proficient in MS Office, email, and other business communication tools.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Effective HR administration and people management abilities.
