Nedbank is hiring a Service Consultants to deliver exceptional client service, support digital banking solutions, and manage cash and self-service operations. This role is ideal for customer-focused professionals with retail banking experience.


Job Purpose

To educate clients on the convenience, security, and functionality of digital and self-service banking solutions, while processing cash transactions, managing device maintenance, and ensuring an excellent client experience.


Key Responsibilities

Client Service & Digital Support

  • Assist clients with digital banking apps, logins, and self-service devices
  • Educate clients on online banking features and account servicing
  • Support value-added services (airtime, data, statements, cards)
  • Manage queues and prioritise clients with special needs
  • Own client requests end-to-end and maintain strong relationships
  • Identify sales leads and enable cross-selling (non-advisory)

Cash & Branch Operations

  • Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and forex transactions
  • Balance cash, manage branch stock, and control queue flow
  • Load and balance ATMs and perform first-line device maintenance
  • Execute cash management, treasury, and recycling processes
  • Prepare inter-bank transfer documentation within deadlines

Risk & Compliance

  • Adhere to Nedbank security, governance, and risk controls
  • Prevent fraud and losses through proper authentication procedures

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualification: Diploma (NQF Level 5 preferred)
  • Preferred: Banking Services qualification
  • Experience: 1–2 years in retail or banking client service
  • Cash handling, digital banking, and first-line problem-solving experience
  • Forex experience (advantageous)
