About the Sasol Tanker Driver Learnership 2025
The Sasol Tanker Driver Learnership 2025 is a 12-month training programme designed to prepare women to become professional Fuel Distribution Officers (Tanker Drivers).
This learnership includes two main parts:
- Theoretical Learning (NQF Level 3)
- You will learn the core knowledge and theory needed to safely operate tankers and handle dangerous goods.
- This stage prepares you for the responsibilities you will have in the workplace.
- Practical Training
- You will gain hands-on experience by working directly with experienced drivers and Sasol teams.
- During this phase, you will apply what you’ve learned in real-life work situations.
Throughout the programme, Sasol will assist you in obtaining the necessary qualifications, including:
- Code 14 Driver’s License
- Professional Driving Permit (PrDP)
- Dangerous Goods Certification

Minimum Requirements
To qualify for the Sasol Tanker Driver Learnership, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Matric or Grade 12 certificate
- A valid Code 10 Driver’s License
- A valid Code 14 Driver’s License (advantageous but not compulsory)
- No prior work experience is needed – this is an entry-level opportunity
- Willingness to take responsibility for your own learning and development
- Ability to communicate well in both verbal and written form
- Able to follow instructions carefully and accurately
- Preference will be given to candidates who live in the Alberton area

As a learner in this programme, you will be trained and expected to:
