This opportunity is suitable for candidates with strong administrative, communication, and front-office skills who are seeking employment within SAPS.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or National Certificate (Vocational) at NQF Level 4, recorded on the National Learner Record Database
  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Proficiency in at least two official languages, one of which must be English
  • Knowledge of Batho Pele Principles, front office etiquette, and telecommunication systems
  • Computer literacy
  • Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and organisational skills
  • No previous criminal convictions or pending cases
  • Willingness to undergo security vetting, including fingerprint verification

Added Advantage

  • Relevant administrative or receptionist experience
  • Tertiary qualification
  • Completion of relevant developmental or skills-based courses

Duties and Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Providing professional receptionist and front-office support services
  • Managing incoming and outgoing telephone calls and directing them to relevant officials
  • Rendering onsite and online receptionist services
  • Coordinating travel arrangements, meeting bookings, and telephonic communications
  • Maintaining the telephone directory and administrative records
  • Receiving, sorting, and rerouting incoming mail and packages
  • Ensuring visitors are verified, signed in, and authorised before accessing offices
  • Maintaining cleanliness and order in the reception area
  • Safeguarding office equipment and maintaining relevant files
