Minimum Requirements to Apply

  • Be in Grade 8 to Grade 12 in 2026, or applying for one of these grades
  • Achieve a minimum overall average of 60% in school
  • Have a total household income of less than R550,000 per year
  • Complete the online application form fully and upload all required supporting documents


Required Documents

Motivation Letters:

  1. A letter from your parents or guardians
  2. two-page letter from you, explaining who you are and why you deserve the scholarship
  3. A letter from your school supporting your application

Certified Copies of Documents:

  • June academic results for the current school year
  • Your ID document or birth certificate
  • ID documents of parents or legal guardians
  • Proof of household income (not older than three months)

Additional Documents (if applicable):

  • Death certificate of parent(s) or a letter from Social Services if you are orphaned
  • Proof of sibling registration at a tertiary institution
  • Divorce decree of parents (if applicable)
  • Marriage certificate of parents or applicant (if applicable)
  • Affidavit for single parents (issued by Home Affairs)
  • Proof of employment, unemployment, or income statements for parents/guardians

Make sure all copies are clear and certified, as incomplete applications will not be considered.

  • Scholarships are limited and depend on available funding, so applying early is crucial.
  • If you do not receive feedback by 31 January 2026, it means your application was unsuccessful.
