SANParks (South African National Parks) Job as Receptionist 2026: Offering a Beneficial Position Based in Addo Elephant National Park
About SANParks (South African National Parks)
The Department of Environmental Affairs is in charge of SANParks, which is a public agency that operates under their purview. In this department, inclusive conservation, as opposed to older policies that focused on exclusion, is at the center of efforts to advance policies that are in line with the National Development Framework for Sustainable Development and the national Development Plan. These two documents were created by the federal government to guide the nation’s approach to achieving sustainable development. The South African National Parks (SANParks) agency is in charge of managing a network of 19 active national parks that are spread over seven of the country’s nine provinces.
These parks have a total area of somewhat more than 4 million hectares, and they are responsible for the management of 67% of the state’s protected areas. When it comes to the management of protected areas and the advancement of conservation activities, SANParks, the organization that exists today, is usually considered as having been a pioneer in the field. Seven new national parks with a total area of more than 700 000 hectares have been established in South Africa during the course of the past two decades. The bulk of these parks are situated in less protected biomes, such as the succulent Karoo and the fynbos.
