Life Healthcare is currently recruiting a Receptionist (Sessional Rooms) to join the administration team at Life Springs Parkland Hospital in Springs, Gauteng. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced healthcare receptionist who enjoys patient interaction, organisation, and working with medical specialists in a professional hospital environment.

About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Doctor’s Sessional Rooms reception, attending to patient enquiries, coordinating specialist sessions, and ensuring smooth daily operations while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist patients and visitors (in person & telephonically)
- Schedule appointments, admissions, scans, tests, and outside referrals
- Coordinate doctors’ sessional rooms and visiting specialists
- Handle patient emergencies appropriately
- Maintain and update patient personal and financial records
- Assist patients with medical aid forms and documentation
- Obtain medical aid authorisations for hospital admissions
- Assist with hospital bed and theatre bookings
- Collect payments and assist with billing processes
- Liaise professionally with hospital departments
- Maintain reception area and manage minor stock supplies
- Ensure confidentiality of patient information
- Perform additional duties as assigned by line management
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Valid driver’s licence
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Receptionist / Secretarial role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (advanced Excel skills essential)
