RCL Foods Millwright Apprenticeship (x5 positions available)
RCL Foods is inviting South African jobseekers with Grade 12 or related Qualifications to apply for their Millwright Apprenticeship. The successful applicants will undergo a 3-year fixed-term training programme where they will be responsible for learning, performing, and supporting mechanical maintenance, repairs, and installations under the guidance of experienced mentors.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science
- N3–N6 with trade subjects
- Employment Equity preference (Females are encouraged to apply)
- Must be between 18–35 years of age
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Undertake non-specialized maintenance tasks within the assigned unit
- Coach and develop the engineering skills of other staff
- Recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Participate in World Class Manufacturing (WCM) activities within Engineering and SHE standards
- Diagnose and interpret problems (fault finding) to optimize production output and perform plant repairs
- Carry out breakdown, preventative, and predictive maintenance to ensure service standards are met
- Analyze breakdowns, comply with Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), and implement improvements to reduce downtime
- Contribute to strategic engineering plans aimed at maintenance and breakdown reduction (Reliability Centered Maintenance – RCM)
