The RCL Foods Job Vacancy for a Data Capture Clerk is an opportunity within the Siqalo Foods Division, inviting qualified candidates to become part of a dynamic production team. This position is based in Boksburg and reports directly to the Production Shift Manager.
The primary objective of the role is to maintain accuracy and efficiency within the automated back-flushing system for finished goods. The Data Capture Clerk is responsible for conducting thorough quality checks and verifying information using SU labels to ensure that all product data is correctly recorded in the system.
Additionally, the incumbent is expected to implement and manage manual scanning procedures as a reliable backup method to prevent data loss or discrepancies. Through careful monitoring and attention to detail, the Data Capture Clerk contributes to maintaining the integrity of production data and supporting smooth operational processes within the division.
You will be required to perform the duties below:
- Monitors the planned versus actual production performance and provides feedback to the Shift Production Managers (S/L and OR)
- Prepares SRVs for all packaging materials at the end of each production run, oversees physical stock movement, and ensures system transfers are accurately completed
- Generates stock entries to reconcile and balance SRVs
- Performs ad hoc product tracking and tracing to locate and verify inventory when required
- Coordinates and assists the Shift Production Manager in conducting regular stock counts
- Creates M1 and M4 tags corresponding to each respective shift
- Performs cycle counts for all packaging materials to maintain accurate inventory records
- Records end-of-shift waste figures for monitoring and reporting purposes
- Reviews and corrects storage location details (S/LOC) for both packaging materials (PM) and finished goods (FG)
- Organizes and oversees the rework process for problematic stock, ensuring that the quality quarantine area remains tidy and that all SRVs are properly processed
- Adjusts production orders in accordance with COGI requirements
- Processes write-ons and write-offs for packaging materials (PM) and finished goods (FG)
- Generates pull lists for all material requirements for the respective shift
- Ensures stock from end-of-run cupboards is properly rotated to maintain freshness and order accuracy
- Compiles and consolidates WCM morale documentation for the shift — including 5Y’s, OPLs, CIs, EWOs, and other related records — and submits them to the WCM Department
- Removes all non-conforming materials from the production area via the hall-in-the-wall conveyor system
- Completes daily entries on the PAMCO sheet to maintain accurate production data
- Changes SU labeller reels and ribbons when necessary to ensure continuous operation
- Captures final production data for finished goods on the SmartTech system accurately and promptly.
