About the Role
Rand Water is recruiting three (3) Process Controller Assistants to support plant operations by maintaining cleanliness, assisting process controllers, and ensuring safe working conditions within water treatment facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of engine rooms, control rooms, battery rooms, toilets, and switchgear floors
- Clean allocated plant sections
- Report unsafe acts, conditions, or abnormalities to the shift supervisor
- Assist Process Controllers with pump operations
- Open and close suction and delivery valves
- Take water samples
- Manually operate pipeline isolating valves
- Assist with unloading chlorine and ammonia drums
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent (N3 Certificate)
- Water Treatment Learnership (Blue Drop) – Advantage
- 1 year cleaning or related experience – Advantage
- Basic communication and numeracy skills
Knowledge & Training
- Water purification exposure is an advantage
- On-the-job training will be provided
