To facilitate assistance in the cost effective and timeous production of specials to the required time,quality standards, cost constraints and customer satisfaction, as well as maintaining ISO 9001:2015 series quality system and production.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 or technical equivalent
1 year working experience in related field
Ability to perform physical labour
Primary Duties
Assisting the operator in the fabricating of pipes and pipe specials using appropriate machinery and tools.
Machine cleaning, article cleaning, area upkeep, planning and re-organizing of work.
Quality awareness and implementation.
Consumables saving.
Assistance in the recording of data related to the articles being worked on.
Assistance to artisans.
Customer awareness and customer satisfaction.
Conduct mini-risk assessments, compliance with OHS Act and managing compliance with environmental legislation
Knowledge
Pipe fitting and assembly of intricate pipe specials.
Knowledge on welding/Boilermaking tools and equipment.
Working with centre lines, focal points of intricate pipe specials
Knowledge in the marking/cutting, rolling, welding,
Skills
Look after tools and equipment
Awareness in quality, safety and environmental issues
Ability to assist in the marking/cutting, rolling, welding, cleaning and provision of quality items
