✅ Job Responsibilities
As a Retail Shop Assistant , your role will be to ensure the store runs smoothly and customers have an amazing shopping experience. Your key tasks will include:
✔️ Welcoming Customers: Greet customers with a smile and help them find what they need.
✔️ Preventing Shoplifting: Keep an eye on store activity to prevent theft.
✔️ Stock Management: Receive, check, and unpack stock while ensuring all paperwork is correct.
✔️ Product Display: Arrange window and store displays to attract customers.
✔️ Customer Service: Assist customers in choosing the right products, answers questions, and process refunds.
✔️ Processing Sales: Use Point of Sale (POS) software to handle purchases.
✔️ Opening New Accounts: Help customers fill out application forms.
✔️ Maintaining Store Standards: Keep the clean store, tidy, and well-organized.
✔️ Stock Counts: Help the store manager with weekly stock checks .
✔️ Visual Merchandising: Assist in setting up store displays according to Rage’s store standards.
✔️ Store Targets: Help the manager reach monthly sales goals.
✔️ Fire & Safety Compliance: Make sure emergency exits and escape routes remain clear.
✔️ Training Participation: Take part in training sessions to improve skills and service quality.
📌What You Need to Apply
To qualify for this position, you must have:
✔️ Matric (High School Certificate)
✔️ Experience in retail sales (preferred but not required)
✔️ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
✔️ Great communication and customer service skills
✔️ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
✔️ Ability to stand for long hours
✔️ Basic knowledge of pricing and labeling equipment
✔️ Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) software
⏳ Job Type & Salary
We offer full-time, part-time, permanent, temporary, and temp-to-perm positions with flexible contract lengths (up to 3 months ).
💰 Pay Range: R27,58 – R30,51 per hour
