What You’ll Be Doing

Working at Glenstantia’s After-School Centre is about much more than simply supervising learners. You’ll become a role model and support system for children who need encouragement, discipline, and guidance after regular school hours. Here’s what your role will include:

Supporting children with homework and school projects.
Creating a safe and caring environment for learners in the afternoons.
Guiding children during playtime and structured activities.
Maintaining discipline while still showing warmth and understanding.
Building strong relationships with learners to encourage positive growth.
Working with staff and parents to make sure every child is cared for.

What Glenstantia is Looking For

To qualify for one of the three available posts, applicants must meet the following requirements:

A Matric/Grade 12 certificate.
Previous experience working with children or at an after-school centre.
Strong people skills to interact effectively with learners.
The ability to maintain discipline and manage pressure in a busy environment.
Fluency in English.
Availability to work Monday to Friday, from 13:00 to 17:30.

It is also important to note:

Applicants must have no criminal record.
A valid police clearance certificate is required.
