Job Purpose
Successful candidates will be responsible for cleaning and refuse-related duties across the City of Johannesburg. The role supports municipal cleanliness and environmental health services.
Key Responsibilities
- Street cleaning and sweeping
- Cleaning refuse bins and surrounding areas
- Collecting and stacking refuse bags
- Bin delivery and replacement
- Lane flushing and general operational duties
- Wearing protective clothing and following safety procedures
- Reporting incidents, injuries, or faulty equipment
- Assisting and engaging with community members when required
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 10 qualification
- At least 12 months cleaning or general work experience
- No criminal record
- Physically and mentally fit for manual work
- South African citizen
- Must reside within the City of Johannesburg (proof required)
