Job Description
Job Title: General Office Administrator
Location: Cape Town – Philippi Office
Reports to: Regional Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a General Office Administrator. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day administrative tasks of our office, including coordinating schedules, handling correspondence, maintaining office supplies, and providing support to staff members as needed.
Responsibilities:
– Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including answering phone calls and emails
– Coordinate schedules and appointments for staff members
– Maintain office filing systems and databases
– Order and manage office supplies
– Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks, such as processing invoices and expense reports
– Assist with planning and organizing company events and meetings
– Provide administrative support to staff members as needed
– Perform general office duties, such as photocopying, filing, and data entry
– Ensure office policies and procedures are followed and maintained
Qualifications:
– High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
– Proven experience in an administrative role or office setting
– Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
– Excellent organizational and time management skills
– Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
– Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
– Attention to detail and accuracy
– Knowledge of basic bookkeeping principles is a plus
Working Conditions:
– Full-time position, Monday to Friday
– Office setting with occasional need to work outside normal business hours for events or meetings
