Job Purpose
As a Pharmacy Sales Assistant at Medirite Plus in Roodepoort, you will ensure smooth in-store retail operations by assisting customers, managing stock, and maintaining a well-organized sales floor. Job Objectives
- Process customer payments using the store’s Point of Sale (POS) system and balance sales and receipts per company procedures.
- Maintain up-to-date product knowledge to provide advice and recommend healthcare products.
- Stay informed about promotions and special offers to enhance customer experience.
- Restock items and organize the sales floor according to standard operating procedures.
- Conduct regular price audits to identify and correct pricing discrepancies.
- Maintain visual merchandising standards to create an appealing shopping environment.
- Ensure proper housekeeping to keep the pharmacy clean and safe.
- Handle customer queries promptly, escalating complex issues to management when necessary.
Qualifications
- Grade 12/Matric certificate (essential).
Knowledge and Skills
- Computer literacy, including familiarity with POS systems.
- Bilingual, preferably fluent in Afrikaans and English.
- Engaging and friendly personality with exceptional customer service skills.
- Knowledge of payment procedures (cash, cheque, bank card, credit cards, coupons, vouchers).
- Understanding of stock-receiving procedures and merchandising standards.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
