About the Pepkor Learnership 2026
Pepkor is giving out a learnership programme for individuals who require theoretical knowledge and practical skills to better prepare them for the working world. Pepkor is offering an exciting opportunity for individuals to apply for a Wholesale & Retail SETA-funded Learnership. This 12-month program is designed for dynamic, enthusiastic, and driven youth who are eager to begin building their careers within the Pepkor Lifestyle group—which includes well-known brands such as HiFi Corporation, Incredible Connection, Bradlows, Sleepmasters, Russells, and Rochester.

The Learnership provides a valuable gateway into the world of work, aiming to nurture talent and support personal and professional growth within the retail and wholesale sectors. Participants will gain practical experience across various aspects of the industry, helping them unlock their potential while contributing to the organisation’s success.

Learnership placements are available across all nine provinces of South Africa, giving candidates from diverse regions the chance to take part in this developmental journey. You will be required to deliver the outputs below:

• Assist customers on the shop floor by answering questions, offering product advice, and delivering excellent service
• Support marketing activities and ensure merchandise displays are attractive, organized, and aligned with current promotions
• Use basic English language skills to communicate effectively with customers and team members
• Apply foundational math skills for tasks such as handling prices, performing stock counts, and basic calculations
• Record sales and process customer payments accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system
• Develop an understanding of how the wholesale and retail industry operates, including customer service and sales dynamics
• Open new customer accounts by following store procedures and providing accurate information
• Help monitor, maintain, and reduce stock losses through proper handling, storage, and inventory awareness.
