1. Sales Assistant

Job Summary:
As a Sales Assistant, you will be the face of PEP — helping customers find what they need, managing sales transactions, and keeping the store neat and welcoming.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers with product selection and queries.
  • Operate the till and handle cash, card, and mobile payments accurately.
  • Keep shelves stocked, priced, and attractively displayed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in the store at all times.
  • Support daily stock counts and general administration.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Grade 10 or 12 certificate.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Positive, energetic attitude and passion for helping people.
  • Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

2. Cashier

Job Summary:
The Cashier ensures that every customer has a pleasant checkout experience. This role requires accuracy, honesty, and the ability to provide fast, friendly service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process transactions swiftly and correctly.
  • Handle cash float, change, and reconciliation.
  • Provide customers with receipts and ensure satisfaction before departure.
  • Support the Sales Assistant team when required.
  • Uphold company security and safety standards at the till point.

Requirements:

  • Matric / Grade 12.
  • Previous retail or cashier experience is advantageous.
  • High attention to detail and integrity with money handling.
  • Customer-service oriented with good communication skills.

3. Stockroom Controller

Job Summary:
The Stockroom Controller ensures that the flow of merchandise in and out of the store is efficient, accurate, and aligned with company procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, unpack, and check incoming stock deliveries.
  • Maintain proper records of stock quantities and codes.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Keep the stockroom organized, safe, and secure.
  • Support store operations during busy trading periods.

Requirements:

  • Matric / Grade 12.
  • Experience in stock control or warehouse operations preferred.
  • Basic computer literacy and organizational skills.
  • Trustworthy and detail-oriented.

4. Store Manager / Assistant Store Manager

Job Summary:
As a Store Manager, you will lead a team of passionate staff, ensuring that the store delivers outstanding service, meets sales targets, and operates efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate, and coach the store team to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Monitor sales performance and drive daily sales targets.
  • Manage budgets, stock control, and cash management.
  • Oversee merchandising standards and in-store marketing displays.
  • Handle HR-related duties such as scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.

Requirements:

  • Matric / Grade 12 (Retail Management or Business qualification an advantage).
  • At least 2–3 years’ retail management experience.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Sound understanding of sales performance metrics and retail operations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and meet deadlines.
