WhatsApp Method For NSFAS Status

WhatsApp is a common and most-used app. Everyone has a WhatsApp account, so how is it possible that we can’t enjoy its benefits? Those qualifying for this can get the following benefits.

For University:

  • Free accommodation (Only university accommodation, private not included).
  • It will cover transportation charges for students of R 7,500 per annum.
  • A living allowance of R1500 per annum and book allowances of R5200 per annum are also given to the students.
  • The personal care charges given to the students are R2900 per annum.

For TVET:

  • In urban areas, accommodation charges are R24,000 per annum and in peri-urban areas, it is R18,900 per annum. You will receive accommodation charges of R15,750 per annum in rural areas.
  • The transport allowance is R7000 per annum.
  • A personal care allowance of R2900 per annum will be given.

  • Personal Care Budget: Those students who live in catered areas are provided with R2850 as the personal care budget.

University Students’Expenses covered by NSFAS

  • Tuition Fees: If the student secures excellent grades and passes all modules, then NSFAS provides tuition fees. Whether it’s a vocational training program or a university degree.
  • Transport: Those students whose residences are far and they at least cover a distance of 40km. They are provided with a R10,000 transport allowance per year.
  • Accommodation: If the students stay in the university house accommodation, NSFAS will pay for it. But if the students want a private residence, then they have to pay for it themselves.
  • Living Allowance: For their need, NSFAS provides them a Living Allowance of R14,400 0er year.
  • Books Allowance: Students need Books for students which NSFAS provides them with an R5,000 book allowance.
