Position : Porters – Polokwane

Netcare Pholoso hospital  are currently looking for Porters for healthcare facilities. 

Requirements:

• Grade 10-12 /NQF 4.
• Must show empathy towards others as you will often have to comfort and reassure those who are feeling weak or distressed.
• The ability to deal with irritable or obstinate patients.
• Must be flexible as this role is always varied but interesting
• Must be able to deal with people of different ages and from different walks of life daily
• Friendly, mature and good natured,
• Honest and reliable
• Ability to work shifts
• Basic Salary is market related plus healthcare benefit options, provident fund, 13th cheque, annual leave.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely transport patients to and from various hospital departments (e.g., radiology, surgery, wards).
• Assist with the movement of medical equipment and hospital supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of transportation tools such as wheelchairs and trolleys.
• Follow all safety protocols to ensure patient comfort and well-being.
• Support healthcare staff with patient care during transport, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
• Respond promptly to requests for porter services and efficiently manage time to meet the demands of the hospital.
• Adhere to Netcare’s policies and standards while on duty.
