📝 Job Description
As a Perinaise Cooker , you will be responsible for monitoring cooking temperatures and times to ensure products are cooked perfectly. You’ll follow precise recipes and specifications loaded into the Scada system, ensuring top-quality results every time.
📍Minimum Requirements
✅ Matric or equivalent qualification
✅ Advantageous: N3 or N4 Technical Trade Qualification
✅ Minimum 2 years’ experience in Manufacturing
✅ Must have food industry experience as a cooker
✅ Understanding of lean principles
✅ Exposure to food manufacturing & world-class techniques
🔧 Key Responsibilities
1️⃣ Safety & Quality First!
✔️ Follow all Nando’s Feitoria safety rules & policies
✔️ Wear proper safety gear (PPE)
✔️ Report any unsafe behavior or hazards
✔️ Ensure products meet strict quality standards
✔️ Maintain accurate production reports
✔️ Zero harm & zero alcohol tolerance policy
2️⃣ Operations & Equipment Handling
✔️ Take daily production instructions from the Team Leader
✔️ Keep work area clean and dry at all times
✔️ Ensure pre-weighed ingredients match recipe details
✔️ Operate Scada system for cooking procedures
✔️ Maintain detailed cooking records for each batch
✔️ Ensure correct labeling of steritainer with product info
✔️ Report any machine or equipment issues immediately
✔️ Achieve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) score of 65%+
✔️ Keep wastage below 2%
3️⃣ Inventory & Reporting
✔️ Check & verify tools before sending them for maintenance
✔️ Log production progress on the Shopware system
✔️ Participate counts in inventory control, cycle & stock takes
✔️ Support Operational Excellence (The Nando’s Feitoria initiative)
✔️ Be flexible to work overtime when required
