Our Youth Internship Programme offers unemployed graduates and diploma holders a chance to gain practical experience in public service, supporting the municipality’s mission to enhance community development and governance.
Position Purpose
The Youth Internship Programme 2025 is a 12-month, SETA-funded initiative designed to bridge theoretical learning with practical experience for 30 unemployed graduates and diploma holders. Hosted at Moses Kotane Local Municipality, interns will receive training and mentorship across various departments, earning a R6,000 monthly stipend while contributing to municipal operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Support departmental tasks aligned with your field (e.g., administrative duties, project support, technical tasks).
- Participate in training and mentorship sessions to enhance skills.
- Assist with municipal projects, such as service delivery initiatives or community programs.
- Maintain accurate records and reports as required.
- Collaborate with municipal staff to ensure efficient operations.

Eligibility Criteria
- South African citizen under 40 years of age.
- Resident of Moses Kotane Local Municipality (proof required).
- Hold a relevant Diploma, N6 Certificate, or Bachelor’s Degree in one of the listed fields.
- No participation in a SETA-funded internship in the past two years.
- Clear criminal record, verified via background checks.
- Ability to commit to a 12-month programme with regular attendance.
