About the Momentum Group YES Learnership 2025-2026
The Momentum Group is seeking for applicants who would like to obtain a YES learnership programme and receive theoretical knowledge and practical skills. The Momentum Group YES Learnership forms an integral part of Momentum’s broader Youth Development Strategy, which is designed to create meaningful social change and address the pressing challenge of youth unemployment in South Africa. Through this initiative, Momentum demonstrates its commitment to empowering young people by opening doors to practical, career-building opportunities.
Within Momentum Investments, a wide range of placements are available for unemployed youth to participate in a structured 12-month learnership. This programme, developed in partnership with the national Youth Employment Services (YES), enables participants to acquire valuable workplace experience, develop critical skills, and improve their long-term employability. In recognition of their participation, all successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend, ensuring that they are supported throughout the duration of the programme.
You will also be required to perform the duties below:
- Obtain hands-on experience in different departments within Momentum Investments (such as HR, Finance, Marketing, Operations, Client Services, IT, and others) based on assigned placement
- Show eagerness to learn, take proactive steps, and use feedback constructively to enhance performance
- Commit to living out Momentum Investments’ values and maintaining a professional image on behalf of the organisation
- Participate in activities that build both personal and professional skills, including effective communication, collaboration, and critical problem-solving.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants interested in the Momentum Group YES Learnership must meet all the eligibility requirements set for the programme. The Momentum Group YES Learnership Eligibility Criteria are as listed below:
1. General Requirements
- Hold a relevant qualification (Bachelor’s degree, Diploma, or Certificate) in one of the following fields: Finance, Accounting, Tax, or Audit
- Obtain a qualification or certificate in IT, Information Science, Data and AI generation, Python, SQL, Data Analytics, Data Science, Business Analysis, Project Management, or Business Intelligence
- Possess a qualification in Investment Management
- Hold an LLB degree
- Earn a qualification in Learning and Development, Skills Development, Human Resources, or Industrial Psychology
- Demonstrate functional ability to work with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Be a South African citizen between the ages of 18 and 25
- Remain unemployed at the time of application
- Apply only if participating in the Youth Employment Services (YES) programme for the first time.
