Job Purpose
The Warehouse Checker position with Meridian Wine Distribution in Brackenfell is a permanent role designed for detail-oriented individuals with a Grade 12 certificate and 2 years of FMCG warehouse experience. You’ll ensure the accuracy of shipments, maintain inventory records, and support efficient warehouse operations, contributing to Meridian’s reputation for premium wine distribution. Key Responsibilities
- Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing orders to ensure correct shipments.
- Check and secure cages, ensuring all orders are properly locked and protected.
- Complete log sheets for all verified orders, maintaining accurate records.
- Assist as a stand-in shift supervisor when required, supporting team operations.
- Report incidents or suspicious activities to the warehouse manager immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment at all times.
- Support inventory management by updating records and tracking stock movements.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient and safe operations.

Eligibility Criteria
- South African citizen with a valid ID, aged 18–35.
- Grade 12 certificate (Matric).
- Minimum 2 years of FMCG warehouse experience as a checker.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic communication skills in English.
- Physical fitness to handle warehouse tasks, including lifting and moving stock.
- Ability to work shifts, including weekends if required.
Preferences
- Experience in the liquor or wine distribution industry.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems or inventory software.
- Residents of Brackenfell or surrounding Cape Town areas.
