About the Marsh McLennan Learnership 2026
Marsh McLennan is opening a learnership programme for applicants who would like to receive theoretical knowledge and practical exposure through their learnership. The Marsh McLennan Learnership offers young professionals the chance to join a dynamic and supportive work environment while participating in a programme designed to develop, challenge, and enhance their skills. Upon successful completion of the 12-month programme, participants will earn a Higher Certificate in Short Term Insurance, providing a solid foundation for a career in the insurance and risk advisory sector.
Throughout the Learnership, participants receive a monthly stipend, enabling them to gain valuable work experience while focusing on their professional development. The programme provides an excellent pathway for Matriculants to explore long-term career opportunities with Marsh McLennan, the world’s leading insurance broker and risk adviser. This 12-month Learnership combines formal study with on-the-job training, offering practical exposure in a real-world professional setting. Available locations include Cape Town, Durban, Pretoria, Sandton, and Stellenbosch, and all placements are offered on a fixed-term 12-month contract basis.
Eligibility Criteria

The Marsh McLennan Learnership Eligibility Criteria are as follows:
- Hold a Matric/Grade 12 certificate with English as a first or second language and either Maths or Maths Literacy
- Provide a matric certificate and/or statement of results as proof of completion in 2024 or earlier
- Confirm South African citizenship
- Be between 18 and 25 years of age
- Reside in or near the area where the opportunity is offered
- Ensure you have not previously participated in any SETA-funded initiative
- Verify that you are not currently enrolled in post-matric studies or formally employed
- Submit a CV
- Include a copy of your ID
- Attach your Matric certificate and/or statement.
