Job Description:

The primary responsibility of the Porter will be to facilitate the timely delivery of medication scripts and stock between the pharmacy and hospital wards. In addition, the incumbent will assist with other general duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager. This role requires flexibility in working hours and shifts to meet the operational needs of the hospital.

Key Performance Areas:

Collection of medication scripts and stock requisitions from wards for delivery to the pharmacy

Delivery of completed medication scripts and stock requisitions back to the wards

Distribution of post, memos, and faxes within the hospital

Assisting with document scanning, filing, and other administrative tasks

Relief work in various departments as needed

Performing other duties as directed by the Pharmacy Manager

Post Requirements:

Education: Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 Qualification

Skills:

Ability to communicate in multiple languages (multi-lingual)

Flexibility in working hours and shifts

Ability to handle multiple tasks and provide support across departments
