Admin Clerk / Receptionist – Brits
Job Summary
Manage laboratory sample administration, provide professional reception support, and ensure smooth workflow for patients and healthcare professionals. Ensure timely sample processing, accurate data capture, and excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Receive, log, sort, and dispatch lab samples accurately
- Track sample delivery and report turnaround times
- Conduct hospital rounds to collect and distribute samples
- Handle administrative queries and patient complaints professionally
- Manage reception area and guide patients to relevant departments
- Scan and manage patient forms using Oculus system
- Monitor stock and place orders for lab supplies
- Process patient payments and follow SOP banking procedures
- Maintain housekeeping and adhere to Lancet uniform protocols
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 (Matric)
- BSc Degree – Advantageous
- 0–1 year experience in administration or healthcare
- Computer literate; knowledge of Laboratory Information Systems
- Understanding of organizational policies and laboratory procedures
