The Gauteng Department of Health invites suitably qualified and experienced candidates to apply for Labour Relations Officer posts within the Human Resource Management Directorate. This role is ideal for professionals with solid experience in labour relations, dispute resolution, and workplace governance.

Key Responsibilities (What You’ll Do)
- Develop and implement Labour Relations policies and procedures
- Provide Labour Relations training to managers and staff
- Offer advice, guidance, and support to management on LR matters
- Investigate misconduct cases referred to the Labour Relations Office
- Support bilateral and multilateral meetings (including secretarial support)
- Promote labour peace within the workplace
- Compile reports, maintain databases, and monitor progress on:
- Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
- Employment Equity Act (EEA)
🔹 Minimum Requirements
- Either:
- Grade 12 plus five (5) years’ experience in Labour Relations
- OR Degree/Diploma in Labour Relations (NQF Level 6) with minimum three (3) years’ experience
- Sound knowledge of relevant labour legislation, directives, and policies
- Experience in investigations, dispute resolution, and grievance handling
- Computer literacy
- Valid driver’s licence (exceptions apply for persons with disabilities)
