PathCare is a long-established partnership of pathologists in private practice, supporting doctors and healthcare professionals across South Africa since 1922. We are HPCSA-registered and all our laboratories are SANAS-accredited, ensuring quality, compliance, and excellence in diagnostics.
Position Overview
As a Laboratory Clerk (Histology), you’ll play a vital role in ensuring accurate case administration, workflow efficiency, and seamless support to pathologists—while upholding the highest standards of integrity and client care.
Key Responsibilities
- Confirm that all slides are correctly scanned
- Follow up on outstanding internal after requests
- Ensure complete and accurate documentation per case
- Confirm correct allocation of cases to pathologists
- Monitor and resolve failed folders
- Track and follow up on pending cases
- Assist with slide filing and records management
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (strong literacy and numeracy)
- Basic computer literacy (MS Office)
- Skylims knowledge – essential
- Previous laboratory experience in a pathology/medical environment (advantageous)
