Job Overview
Auto Pedigree is one of the leading suppliers of quality used cars in South Africa. With over 70 branches nationwide, we pride ourselves on providing excellent service and offering low-kilometer vehicles to our customers. We are now seeking a dedicated and reliable Driver/Cleaner to join our Kimberley branch team. This role will ensure the smooth delivery of vehicles, documentation, and other tasks that support our high standards of service.
What Will You Do in This Role?
As a Driver/Cleaner at Auto Pedigree, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure the efficient and safe transport of vehicles and goods. Here’s a breakdown of your key duties:
Carry out any other tasks requested by the Branch Manager to support the overall operations of the branch.
Vehicle Cleaning and Quality Control
Clean vehicles to Auto Pedigree’s high standards, ensuring both the interior and exterior of each vehicle are spotless.
Perform quality control on the vehicles, identifying any issues such as expired licenses or service due dates and reporting them to management.
Check vehicles received from other branches or suppliers to ensure they meet our quality standards before display.
Vehicle Maintenance
Refuel vehicles, and check the tyre pressure, oil, water, and other fluids to ensure that the vehicles are in perfect condition for delivery.
Report any vehicle issues or concerns that need attention to the Branch Manager.
Transporting Vehicles and Documents
Deliver vehicles to customers, ensuring safe and timely delivery.
Transport vehicles between Auto Pedigree branches as needed, following company procedures.
Collect and deliver important documentation to and from banks, suppliers, and other relevant locations.
Premises Cleanliness
Ensure that the company premises are clean and well-maintained, keeping both the showroom and office areas tidy and professional.
Maintain the integrity of the business by adhering to ethical standards and safeguarding company assets and customer interests.
Additional Duties
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- Experience: At least 2 years of relevant driving or similar experience.
- Qualifications: Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
- Driver’s License: A valid, unendorsed Code 8 driver’s license that has been held for at least 2 years.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer literacy.
- Language Skills: Must be fully bilingual and able to communicate effectively in English.
- Map Reading: Ability to read maps and navigate accurately.
